Ayodhya district (formerly Faizabad district) is one of the 75 districts in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The city of Ayodhya is its administrative headquarters. Majaz
Asrar-ul-Haq (19 October 1911 – 5 December 1955), better known as Majaz Lakhnawi, was an Indian Urdu poet. He is known for his romantic and revolutionary poetry. He composed ''ghazals'' and '' nazms'' in Urdu. He was the maternal uncle of poet and screenplay writer Javed Akhtar and Indian-American psychoanalyst Salman Akhtar. Early life and education Majaz was born on 19 October 1911 at Rudauli in Ayodhya district of what is now Uttar Pradesh. His family were a branch of a land-owning gentry family, but were not wealthy. His brother Ansar Harvani was a journalist and he had two older sisters, namely Safia and Hamida. Safia was the wife of poet Jan Nisar Akhtar. Thus, Majaz was the maternal uncle of Javed Akhtar. Hamida Salim
Hamida Salim (1922–August 16, 2015) was an Indian author, economist, and educator, writing primarily in the Urdu language. She was the first woman to graduate from Aligarh Muslim University. Personal life Salim was born in 1922 in Rudauli, in Uttar Pradesh. Her family were zamindars. Her brother, Asrar-ul-Haq "Majaz" was also a notable Urdu poet, and another brother, Ansar Harvani, was a member of the Indian independence movement and an elected Member of Parliament. Phoolchand Gupta (born 30 October 1958) is an Indian Hindi and Gujarati language poet, writer and translator. He hails from Himmatnagar, Gujarat, India. He made significant contributions to the Gujarati Dalit literature. Hindi Sahitya Akademi of state awarded him in 2013 for his book ''Khwabkhwahon Ki Sadi Hai''. Javed Akhtar (born 1945) is an Indian screenwriter, lyricist and poet. Ayodhya Airport , officially named as Maharshi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham, is an international airport currently handling only domestic flights, serving the cities of Ayodhya and Faizabad in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.
