Rubí Sanz Gamo
Rubí Eulalia Sanz Gamo (12 June 1952 – 16 May 2025) was a Spanish art historian, museum curator and public administrator. She was known for directing the Museo de Albacete for more than three decades and the Museo Arqueológico Nacional (MAN) between 2004 and 2010. She also served briefly as regional minister of Culture in Castilla–La Mancha and sat on numerous Spanish and international heritage bodies. Early life and education Sanz Gamo was born on 12 June 1952 in Madrid. After completing secondary school locally, she studied art history at the Complutense University of Madrid, graduating in 1974. She earned a doctorate in history from the University of Alicante in 1996 with a thesis on the transition from Iberian to Roman culture in the province of Albacete, published the following year as ''Cultura ibérica y romanización en tierras de Albacete: los siglos de transición''. José Bono
José Bono Martínez (born 14 December 1950) is a politician of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). He served as President of the Congress of Deputies during the 9th Legislature. Before that, he was the Minister of Defence of Spain from 18 April 2004 in the Government chaired by José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. He left his ministerial post on 7 April 2006 and was replaced by former Minister of Interior, José Antonio Alonso. Bono had previously served as President of the Autonomous Community of Castile-La Mancha from 6 June 1983 to 17 April 2004. In 2020, he was granted Dominican Republic citizenship by means of a presidential decree. The Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando (RABASF; ), located on the Calle de Alcalá in the centre of Madrid, currently functions as a museum and gallery. A public law corporation, it is integrated together with other Spanish royal academies in the . History The academy was established by royal decree in 1752. About twenty years later, the enlightened monarch Charles III purchased a palace in Madrid as the academy's new home. The building had been designed by José Benito de Churriguera for the Goyeneche family. The king commissioned Diego de Villanueva to convert the building for academic use, employing a neoclassical style in place of Churriguera's baroque design. Lady Of Elche
The ''Lady of Elche'' (, Valencian: ) is a limestone bust that was discovered in 1897, at ''La Alcudia'', an archaeological site on a private estate two kilometers south of Elche, Spain. It is now exhibited in the National Archaeological Museum of Spain in Madrid. It is generally known as an Iberian artifact from the 4th century BC, although the artisanship suggests strong Hellenistic influences. According to ''The Encyclopedia of Religion'', the ''Lady of Elche'' is believed to have a direct association with Tanit, the goddess of Carthage, who was worshiped by the Punic-Iberians.
