Rubén Suárez
Rubén Suárez Estrada (; born 19 February 1979) is a Spanish former footballer. Mainly an attacking midfielder, he could also play as a second striker. He appeared in 283 Segunda División matches over 13 seasons, totalling 49 goals for Sporting de Gijón, Elche, Levante and Almería. He added 61 games and 13 goals in La Liga with the two last clubs, and also competed professionally in China and Greece. Club career Born in Gijón, and a product of local Sporting de Gijón's famed youth academy, ''Mareo'', Suárez played six seasons with the Asturians' first team in the Segunda División. He stayed in that league afterwards, with four additional years at Elche CF. Suárez joined Levante UD in the same division on 31 July 2008, on a two-year contract. Spain National Under-21 Football Team
The Spain national under-21 football team is the national under-21 Association football, football team of Spain and is controlled by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The team, nicknamed La Rojita (The Little Red), competes in the biennial UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Following the realignment of UEFA's youth competitions in 1976, the Spain under-21 team was formed. Alexandre Geijo
Alexandre "Álex" Geijo Pazos (born 11 March 1982) is a former footballer who played as a striker. He amassed Segunda División totals of 216 matches and 70 goals over seven seasons, representing five clubs in the process. He added eight goals from 90 appearances in La Liga, with Málaga, Levante, Racing de Santander and Granada, and also competed professionally in his birth nation of Switzerland, Italy (all three major levels) and England. 2008–09 Segunda División
The 2008–09 Segunda División season (known from that season as Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 78th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 30 August 2008, and the season ended on 21 June 2009. Real Zaragoza, Real Murcia and Levante were the teams relegated from La Liga the previous season. Alicante, Girona, Huesca and Rayo Vallecano were the teams promoted from Segunda División B the previous season. The first goal of the season was scored by Alexandre Geijo, who scored in the 11th minute for Levante against Real Zaragoza in the early kick-off.
