Rubén Mendoza Ayala
Rubén Mendoza Ayala (2 February 1961 – 16 April 2016) was a Mexican politician. At different times, he was affiliated to the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), the National Action Party (PAN) and the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD). In the 1997 mid-terms he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies to represent the State of Mexico's 15th district for the PAN during the 57th Congress. He was municipal president of Tlalnepantla de Baz from 2000 to 2003. In the 2003 mid-terms he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies to represent the State of Mexico's 16th district for the PAN during the 59th Congress. Tlalnepantla De Baz
Tlalnepantla de Baz ( Otomi: ) is one of 125 municipalities of the state of Mexico, north of Mexico City. The municipal seat and largest city in the municipality is the city of Tlalnepantla. ''Tlalnepantla'' comes from the Náhuatl words ''tlalli'' (land) and ''nepantla'' (middle) to mean the middle land. The city was known in prior times as Tlalnepantla de Galeana and Tlalnepantla de Comonfort, to honor Hermenegildo Galeana and Ignacio Comonfort, respectively. The current addition of ''Baz'' comes from the last name of Gustavo Baz Prada, an important politician and soldier of Emiliano Zapata's army during the Mexican Revolution. After the Revolution, Baz Prada became Governor of the State of Mexico and President of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). 2005 State Of Mexico Election
A gubernatorial election was held in the Mexico (state), State of México on Sunday, 3 July 2005. Voters in Mexico's most populous state went to the polls to elect a Governor of the State of Mexico, governor to replace former incumbent Arturo Montiel Rojas of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). The favorite candidate was PAN's Rubén Mendoza. It was thought the first runner-up would be PRD Yeidckol Polevnsky Gurwitz (born as Citlali Ibáñez Camacho) and last place by PRI's Enrique Peña. However, Rubén Mendoza made several mistakes in his campaign, appearing apparently drunk at events, boasting he led a group of supporters to steal campaign gifts from Peña's team and gave them with his own signature (he was taped while doing this).
