Roy Li
Roy Li Fey Huei, more commonly or affectionally known as Li Fei Hui (Traditional Chinese: 黎沸揮), is a singer from Singapore. He was dubbed as one of Singapore's brightest exports in Taiwan's music industry, back in the early 1990s. For the past two decades, besides penning his own songs and producing his own albums, the musician has also been actively involved in writing and producing hit songs for many popular artistes of the region, such as Andy Lau, Jeff Chang, Jacky Cheung, Kelly Poon, Tanya Chua, A-do, etc. Currently, he is pre-occupied with the training of aspiring artistes and musical talents in his newly established music school – Imagine Music. Mandarin Pop
Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; with later influences coming from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the Campus Song folk movement of the 1970s. 'Mandopop' may be used as a general term to describe popular songs performed in Mandarin. Though Mandopop predates Cantopop, the English term was coined around 1980 after "Cantopop" became a popular term for describing popular songs in Cantonese. "Mandopop" was used to describe Mandarin-language popular songs of that time, some of which were versions of Cantopop songs sung by the same singers with different lyrics to suit the different rhyme and tonal patterns of Mandarin. Ong Teng Cheong
Ong Teng Cheong ( zh, c=王鼎昌, p=Wáng Dǐngchāng; 22 January 1936 – 8 February 2002) was a Singaporean politician who served as the fifth president of Singapore between 1993 and 1999. He was also the first elected president in Singapore's history. He decided not to run for a second term as president in 1999 partially due to the death of his wife. Cynthia Koh Cynthia Koh (born 25 March 1974), also known as Xu Mei Zhen 许美珍, is a Singaporean actress. She is best known for acting in many television dramas produced by MediaCorp Channel 8. Early life Koh has one younger sister. Her father works in the Singapore Civil Defence Force while her mother is a housewife. Koh received her education at Saint Anthony's Canossian Secondary School. Career While still enrolled in Singapore Broadcasting Corporation's (now MediaCorp) 10th Drama Artiste Course, Koh started acting at the TV station at the age of 18 in May 1992.
