Rosa Luz Alegría
Rosa Luz Alegría Escamilla (born 1949) is a Mexican physicist who was the first woman to serve in the Mexican Executive Cabinet. Alegría studied physics in the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). During her time at the university she got involved with UNAM's ''Consejo General de Huelga'' ("General Strike Council", CGH). During Luis Echeverría's presidency she started to work in the public service. President José López Portillo appointed her under-secretary of planning and budget (''Subsecretaria de Programación y Presupuesto''), and later, on August 13, 1980, she was appointed Secretary of Tourism, becoming the first female Secretary of State in Mexico. Antonio Enríquez Savignac (born August 17, 1931 in Mexico City–d. February, 2007) was a Mexican politician who served as Secretary of Tourism (Mexico), Secretary of Tourism in the cabinet of President Miguel de la Madrid and as Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Guillermo Rossell de la Lama (22 July 1925 – 6 September 2010) was a Mexican politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He served as the Secretary of Tourism from 1976 to 1980 and as Governor of Hidalgo from 1 April 1981 to 31 March 1987. Rossell de la Lama was born in Pachuca, Hidalgo, on 22 July 1925, and earned his architecture degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) National School of Architecture in 1951.
