Rosa Cobo Bedía
Rosa Cobo Bedía (born 17 December 1956) is a Spanish feminist, writer, and professor of sociology of gender at the University of A Coruña. She is also the director of the Center for Gender Studies and Feminists at the same university. Her main line of research is feminist theory and the sociology of gender. Early years and education Rosa Cobo Bedía was born in Cantabria, 17, December 1956. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Political Sciences and Sociology in 1981 from the Complutense University of Madrid. She obtained her master's degree in 1983 with the thesis, ''El principio de Renaturalización en Jean Jacques Rousseau'' ("The principle of Renaturalization in Jean Jacques Rousseau"). In 1992, she read her doctoral dissertation on ''Democracia y Patriarcado en Jean Jacques Rousseau'' ("Democracy and Patriarchate in Jean Jacques Rousseau"), directed by Dr. Celia Amorós and graduated cum laude with honours. The University of A Coruña () is a Spanish public university located in the city of A Coruña, Galicia. Established in 1989, university departments are divided between two primary campuses in A Coruña and nearby Ferrol. The A Coruña campus is spread over three suburbs on the outskirts of A Coruña: Elviña and Zapateira (near the site of the Battle of Elviña) and Oza (near the As Xubias zone). Amelia Valcárcel
Amelia Valcárcel (November 16, 1950) is a Spanish philosopher and feminist. She is considered within the “philosophic feminism” as part of the “equality feminism” approach. She has been a member of the Spanish Council of State since 2006, and has been a professor in Moral and Political Philosophy at the National University of Distance Education since 2015. In recent years she has also been noted for her public activity against the 2023 "Trans Law" as well as for other controversies surrounding LGBTQ+ rights.
