Ronika Stone
Ronika (born Veronica Clare Sampson) is an English singer-songwriter, producer and DJ. Born in Nottingham but currently living in London, she writes, sings and produces her own music. Life and career Early life and career beginnings Ronika started going to clubs and all-nighter's in Nottingham and Brixton as a young teenager and immersed herself in dance music and club culture. She began experimenting with producing music at home, visiting a local studio at weekends to learn more about recording, and immersed herself in soul, disco, funk, electro, house, techno and hip hop. Eventually, she began DJing at local clubs and house parties. The twelve-inch single (often written as 12-inch or 12) is a type of vinyl (polyvinyl chloride or PVC) gramophone record that has wider groove spacing and shorter playing time with a "single" or a few related sound tracks on each surface, compared to LPs (long play) which have several songs on each side. It is named for its diameter that was intended for LPs. This technical adaptation allows for louder levels to be cut on the disc by the mastering engineer, which in turn gives a wider dynamic range, and thus better sound quality. Annie Macmanus (born 18 July 1978), known professionally as Annie Mac, is an Irish DJ, broadcaster and writer. She hosted a variety of shows on BBC Radio 1, including BBC Switch and ''Future Sounds''. The Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) is a world-traveling series of music workshops and festivals that was founded in 1998 by Red Bull GmbH.
