Ronald Gërçaliu
Ronald Gërçaliu (, ; born 12 February 1986) is a professional footballer who plays as a left-back for FC Kufstein. Born in Albania, he chose to play for Austria after being called up by Hans Krankl in 2005. Club career Born in Tirana but moved to Austria in 1997, Gërçaliu came up through the ranks at Sturm Graz, becoming first-team mainstay in 2004–05 season and also played professionally for Salzburg and Austria Wien. In summer 2008 he rejoined Salzburg after only one and a half season at Austria Wien. On 28 June 2009, it was announced that Gërçaliu signed with Wiener Neustadt for the new season. After one season he left Wiener Neustadt and signed for German club FC Ingolstadt. On 3 January 2014, he signed a two-year contract with Universitatea Cluj and, after a season playing for Rheindorf Altach, in July 2015 he signed a contract with KF Tirana, the team of the city where he was born. Tirana
Tirana ( , ; ) is the capital and List of cities and towns in Albania, largest city of Albania. Hans Krankl
Johann "Hans" Krankl (; born 14 February 1953) is an Austrian former professional footballer. A prolific striker, he is regarded by many as one of Austria's greatest players. Club career Krankl started his professional career at Rapid Wien and stayed there for 8 years, apart from a year at Wiener AC. He won the European Golden Boot at Rapid Wien in 1978, attracting the interest of Barcelona. His spell at Barcelona was successful, winning the European Cup Winners' Cup (scoring in the final itself), and picking up the top goalscorer's award in La Liga that season with 29 goals. He returned to Rapid Wien in 1981, captaining the side and again scoring over 100 goals for them over the next 5 years. He played a major part in the most successful of Rapid teams in the 1980s, claiming the League crown twice, in 1982 and 1983, and three consecutive Austrian cup titles. The 2006–07 Austrian Cup () was the 73rd season of Austria's nationwide football cup competition. It started on July 28, 2006 with the first game of the preliminary round. The final was held at the Gerhard Hanappi Stadium, Vienna on 1 May 2007. The teams representing Austria in European competitions (Austria Wien, Red Bull Salzburg, FC Pasching and SV Mattersburg) received a bye to the third round of the tournament. The competition was won by Austria Vienna after beating SV Mattersburg 2–1. It was the 26th Austrian Cup title for the team from Vienna and the third in a row. Austria Vienna also qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2007–08 UEFA Cup in the process. The Austrian Cup (), known as UNIQA ÖFB Cup for sponsorship purposes, is an annual football competition held by the Austrian Football Association, the ÖFB. During the 2008–09 season, Austria Wien won the tournament for a record 27th time. Wolfsberger AC are the current holders, winning their first ever cup trophy in the 2024-25 edition.
