Ronald Pereira Martins (born 14 June 2001), simply known as Ronald, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a winger for club Swansea City. Club career Born in Corumbá, Mato Grosso do Sul, Ronald began his career with hometown side Corumbaense. He made his first team debut at the age of 17 on 2 February 2019, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 2–0 Campeonato Sul-Mato-Grossense away win against Operário de Dourados. Ronald scored his first senior goal on 16 February 2019, netting his team's third in a 3–1 home win against Aquidauanense. He also spent a period on a trial at Atlético Mineiro before signing for the under-20 side of Atlético Goianiense. Corumbá
Corumbá () is a municipality in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, 425 km northwest of Campo Grande, the state's capital. The Copa Verde () is an annual regional knockout football competition in Brazil that started in 2014, and played by 24 teams from the North and Central-West regions, plus Espírito Santo (Espírito Santo state was included because they competed in the old Copa Centro Oeste). Initially, the champion of the tournament gained a place in the next year's Copa Sudamericana. With the changes implemented by CONMEBOL in 2016 causes a competition no longer qualify in Copa Sudamericana from edition. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D), commonly known as the Série D or the Brazilian Série D to distinguish it from the Italian Serie D, is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on 9 April 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Generali Tranquilidade since the 2024–25 season.
