Ron Altbach
Ronald Steven Altbach (December 24, 1946 – February 21, 2023) was an American keyboardist and songwriter who co-founded French-American rock band King Harvest, and played the Wurlitzer electric piano intro on their single " Dancing in the Moonlight" (1972). He later became a session keyboardist for The Beach Boys and penned songs for the group. Altbach was a member of Celebration, a group led by Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love. In 1979, Altbach played keyboards in the band Clean Athletic & Talented (C.A.T.); the band, including John Huff, recorded an album. Olcott, New York
Olcott is a hamlet (and census-designated place) located in the Town of Newfane in Niagara County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, this community population was 1,241. Most locals refer to it as Olcott Beach. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. Celebration (1970s Band)
Celebration was a 1970s American rock music, rock band, fronted by the Beach Boys, Beach Boys lead singer Mike Love as well as members of the band King Harvest. Celebration released three albums before they broke up in 1979. Background During the late 1970s, The Beach Boys, Beach Boys singer Mike Love began to work on outside projects. King Harvest
King Harvest was a 1970s French-American rock band who was formed initially in Ithaca, New York, U.S., but broke up and reformed in Paris where they began recording their first songs. They are known for their 1972 hit single " Dancing in the Moonlight". They took their name after the 1969 song " King Harvest (Has Surely Come)" by the Band, one of their musical influences. Mike Love
Michael Edward Love (born March 15, 1941) is an American singer and songwriter who is one of the vocalists of the Beach Boys, of which he was an original member alongside his cousins Brian Wilson, Dennis Wilson, and Carl Wilson and their friend Al Jardine. He is the band's only constant member, appearing on all its albums, and following the death of Brian Wilson, he became the last-surviving familial co-founder.
