Rome EPrix
The Rome ePrix was an annual race of the open-wheel car, single-seater, Electric car, electrically powered Formula E championship held at the Circuito Cittadino dell'EUR in Rome, Italy. The race became official when local government unanimously approved of the race. It featured the second longest lap of the season, behind the Marrakesh ePrix, until 2019. A longer circuit was presented for the 2021 double-header, making it the longest circuit of the calendar, just above the Valencia ePrix and Monaco ePrix, the latter was extended similarly to its usual Grand Prix layout. The race was dropped since the 2023–24 Formula E season, 2023–24 season and was replaced by the Misano ePrix in 2024. 2018 Rome EPrix
The 2018 Rome ePrix (formally the 2018 CBMM Niobium Rome E-Prix Presented By Mercedes EQ) was a Formula E Electric motorsport, electric car race held at the Circuito Cittadino dell'EUR in the EUR, Rome, EUR residential and business district of the Italian capital of Rome on 14 April 2018 before a crowd of 45,000 people. It was the seventh round of the 2017–18 Formula E Championship and the inaugural running of the Rome ePrix, event. The 33-lap race was won by DS Virgin Racing, Virgin driver Sam Bird from a second position start. Lucas di Grassi finished second for Audi#Motorsport, Audi and Techeetah driver André Lotterer took third. The Circuito cittadino dell'EUR was a street circuit located in the EUR neighborhood in Rome, Italy. It was used for the Rome ePrix of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E championship. DS Techeetah (, ) was a Sino- French motor racing team under ownership of SECA - China Media Capital that competed in the electric racing series, Formula E. Formula E Team Aguri principal Aguri Suzuki announced he would leave the team in April 2016 as senior personnel entered "a period of consultation" over a future change in ownership. Lucas Tucci di Grassi (born 11 August 1984) is a Brazilian racing driver, who competes in Formula E for Lola Yamaha ABT. In formula racing, di Grassi competed in Formula One in , and won the 2016–17 Formula E Championship with Abt. In endurance racing, di Grassi was runner-up in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2016 with Audi. The 2024 Misano ePrix was a pair of motor races, the sixth and seventh rounds of the 2023–24 Formula E World Championship, held on 13 and 14 April 2024. It was the first and only running of the Misano ePrix, an event held around the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, replacing the Rome ePrix on the Formula E calendar.
