Roland Schütt
Fritiof Roland Schütt (born 18 April 1913 in Stockholm, dead 10 November 2005 (aged 92) in Tyresö) was a Swedish author. He was son to Fritiof and Zipa Schütt and younger brother to the author Bertil Schütt. He has hosted Tyresö närradio together with Åke Sandin. His novel ''The Slingshot'' was made into a 1993 film of the same name. Tyresö Municipality
Tyresö Municipality () is a municipalities of Sweden, municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Most of Tyresö Municipality lies within the Stockholm urban area. History The first humans arrived in what today is Tyresö Municipality somewhere around the 3rd millennium BC. It would not be until about the 7th century that permanent settlements would start appearing though. There are some graves and other remnants left from this prehistoric time. The Tyresö estate has its origins in the 14th century. During the 17th century the estate was at its largest, covering nearly the entire current area of the municipality. The Tyresö Palace and Tyresö Church were built during this century, with the palace completed in 1636 and the church in 1640. Thor Fritz Ã…ke Sandin (born February 23, 1944) is a Swedish sprint canoer who competed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The Slingshot (film)
''The Slingshot'' () is a Swedish drama film which was released to cinemas in Sweden on 24 September 1993, starring Jesper Salén, Stellan Skarsgård and Basia Frydman. Directed by Åke Sandgren, the film was based on Roland Schütt's 1989 autobiographical novel of the same name (translates to ''"The Condom Slingshot"''). Plot Roland (Salén) is the 12-year-old son of a Russian Jewish mother (Frydman) and a socialist father (Skarsgård), coming of age in 1920s Stockholm. Due to his family's background he has become an outcast, a constant target of bullying by his peers, and often humiliated and physically punished by a sadistic schoolteacher (Ernst-Hugo Järegård) in front of classmates.
