Rohtak
Rohtak () is a city and the administrative headquarters of the Rohtak district in the Indian state of Haryana. It lies north-west of New Delhi and south of the state capital Chandigarh on NH 9 (old NH 10). Rohtak forms a part of the National Capital Region (NCR) which helps the city in obtaining cheap loans for infrastructure development from the NCR Planning Board. Rohtak is the third most populous city in Haryana as per the 2011 census with a population of 373,133. Name Rohtak is identified with the older form Rauhītaka, which occurs in the 12th-century '' Rājataraṅgiṇī'' as the name of a town and district in northern India. Rohtak district is a district in the Indian state of Haryana. It is located in the southeast of the state and northwest of Delhi, bounded by Jind and Sonipat districts to the north, Jhajjar and Sonipat districts to the east, and Hissar, Charkhi Dadri, and Bhiwani districts to the west. Deepender Singh Hooda
Deepender Singh Hooda (born 4 January 1978) is an Indian politician. He is a five-term Member of Parliament from the Indian National Congress. He was elected as the Member of the Lok Sabha from Rohtak in 2024. He was also a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from Haryana. He is a special invitee to the Congress Working Committee. Bharat Bhushan Batra
Bharat Bhushan Batra (born 4 May 1952) is an Indian politician serving as the MLA from Rohtak in the Haryana Legislative Assembly since 2019. He held the post previously from 2009 to 2014, winning the seat in 2009. After a loss in 2014, Batra regained the seat in 2019, which he retained in 2024. Personal life Batra was born on 4 May 1952 to Sat Ram Dass Batra in Kalanaur town of East Punjab which is now in Haryana. Jhajjar is a town in Jhajjar district in the Indian state of Haryana. It is a part of Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) and situated on the road connecting Rewari to Rohtak (NH-352), Loharu to Meerut (NH334B), Charkhi Dadri to Delhi and Gurgaon to Bhiwani.
