Rogožarski Brucoš
Rogožarski Brucoš (Serbian Cyrillic:Рогожарски Бруцош) was a single-engine, two-seat, low wing monoplane aircraft designed as a trainer in Yugoslavia before World War II. It was designed and built in the Rogožarski aircraft factory in Belgrade. Design and development In order to replace its obsolete pilot training aircraft, the Zmaj Fizir FN biplane, the Yugoslav Royal Air Force (YRAF) Command held a competition in mid-1936 to develop a new aircraft for training pilots. The new aircraft was to be a low wing aircraft so that Yugoslavian pilots could get accustomed to piloting the fighters that the Yugoslav Royal Air Force was using, the Hawker Hurricane, Messerschmitt Bf 109 and the Rogožarski IK-3. A WikiProject, or Wikiproject, is an affinity group for contributors with shared goals within the Wikimedia movement. WikiProjects are prevalent within the largest wiki, Wikipedia, and exist to varying degrees within Wikimedia project, sibling projects such as Wiktionary, Wikiquote, Wikidata, and Wikisource. Miroslav Nenadović ( sr-Cyrl, Мирослав Ненадовић; 18 March 1904 – 21 February 1989) was an engineer and professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, a Yugoslav aerospace engineer, who gave immense contribution to the development of the faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade and the Yugoslav Air Force in general. In 1958 he was elected an associate fellow of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA), while in 1965 he was elected full member of the Academy. A trainer is a class of aircraft designed specifically to facilitate flight training of pilots and aircrews. The use of a dedicated trainer aircraft with additional safety features—such as tandem flight controls, forgiving flight characteristics and a simplified cockpit arrangement—allows pilots-in-training to safely advance their skills in a more forgiving aircraft. Rogožarski Aircraft
Rogožarski () was a Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Yugoslav aircraft manufacturer based in Belgrade. History Officially established on 22 April 1924 under the name First Serbian Aircraft Factory of Živojin Rogožarski (), the company was responsible for most of Yugoslavia's air industry in the interwar period, along with Ikarbus, Ikarus. Initially, it repaired aircraft which had been confiscated during World War I, but soon started manufacturing its own models, as well as license producing aircraft from abroad. After the company was nationalised by the Yugoslav government in 1946, the factory was merged together with Zmaj (company), Zmaj into Ikarus, which continued in the aeronautical industry until 1962. The Rogožarski SIM-VI (Serbian Cyrillic:Рогожарски СИМ-VI) was a single-engined, two-seat, low wing aircraft designed as trainer in Yugoslav before World War II. It was designed and built at the Rogožarski factory in Belgrade. Design and development The SIM-VI was designed by engineer Sima Milutinović in the early 1930s as an inexpensive trainer plane that would enable expansion of sports aviation. The project was in suspension until 1936, when a prototype was constructed, and the maiden flight was made in 1937. The aircraft was a low wing monoplane of fabric-covered wooden structure. A four-cylinder 50 hp Walter Mikron engine drove a two-bladed wooden propeller. The plane had tandem seating and was intended for civilian use, for the training of sports pilots, demonstration flights and travel. The de Havilland Gipsy Major or Gipsy IIIA is a four-cylinder, air-cooled, inverted inline engine used in a variety of light aircraft produced in the 1930s, including the famous de Havilland Tiger Moth, Tiger Moth biplane. Many Gipsy Major engines still power vintage aircraft types. Engines were produced by de Havilland in the UK and by the Australian arm of the company, de Havilland Australia, the latter modifying the design to use Imperial units, imperial measures rather than the original Metric system, metric measurements. The Royal Yugoslav Air Force ( sh-Latn, Jugoslovensko kraljevsko ratno vazduhoplovstvo, JKRV; sh-Cyrl, Југословенско краљевско ратно ваздухопловство, ЈКРВ; (, JKVL); lit. Veliki Radinci () is a village in Serbia. It is situated in the Sremska Mitrovica municipality, in the Syrmia District, Vojvodina province. Zemun
Zemun ( sr-cyrl, Земун, ; ) is a Subdivisions of Belgrade, municipality in the city of Belgrade, Serbia. Zemun was a separate town that was absorbed into Belgrade in 1934. It lies on the right bank of the Danube river, upstream from downtown Belgrade. The development of New Belgrade in the late 20th century expanded the continuous urban area of Belgrade and merged it with Zemun.
