Roger Kleier
Roger Kleier (born 1958, Glendale, California) is an American composer, guitarist, improviser, and producer. He studied composition at the University of North Texas College of Music and the USC Thornton School of Music. Kleier's compositional work typically uses an expanded vocabulary for the electric guitar through the use of extended techniques and digital technology. His style draws equally from improvisation, contemporary classical music, and the American guitar traditions of blues, jazz, and rock. Kleier has been a guest lecturer and educator at the California Institute of the Arts, the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Washington University in St. Louis, Edith Cowan University, Hartt College of Music, San Francisco State University, Mills College, St. Cloud University, and Princeton University. Chris Cutler
Chris Cutler (born 4 January 1947) is an English percussionist, composer, lyricist and music theorist. Best known for his work with English avant-rock group Henry Cow, Cutler was also a member and drummer of other bands, including Art Bears, News from Babel, Pere Ubu and (briefly) Gong/Mothergong. He has collaborated with many musicians and groups, including Fred Frith, Lindsay Cooper, Zeena Parkins, Peter Blegvad, Telectu and The Residents, and has appeared on over 100 recordings. Hahn Rowe is an American violinist, guitarist, composer, and engineer/producer, involved in a wide range of projects. He also performs using the stage name Somatic. Alan Licht (born June 6, 1968) is an American guitarist and composer, whose work combines elements of pop, noise, free jazz and minimalism. He is also a writer and journalist. Biography Licht was born in New Jersey in 1968. His earliest musical influences, in the 1970s, were mainstream rock bands like the Bee Gees and Wings—he remarks in an interview with ''Paris Transatlantic'' magazine that 'What made me want to play guitar was that painting of Wings in concert in the gatefold of ''Wings Over America''. Carl Stone (born Carl Joseph Stone, February 10, 1953) is an American composer, primarily working in the field of live electronic music. Ikue Mori
(born 17 December 1953), also known as Ikue Ile, is a drummer, electronic musician, composer, and graphic designer. Mori was awarded a "Genius grant" from the MacArthur Foundation in 2022. Biography Ikue Mori was born and raised in Japan. She says she had little interest in music before hearing punk rock. In 1977, she went to New York City, initially for a visit, but she became involved in the music scene, and has remained in New York since.
