Rodulfo Amando Philippi Bañados (25 May 1905 – 31 July 1969) was a Chilean ornithologist. The great-grandson of German naturalist Rodolfo Amando Philippi Rodolfo Amando (or Rudolph Amandus) Philippi (14 September 1808 – 23 July 1904) was a German–Chilean paleontologist and zoologist. Philippi contributed primarily to malacology and paleontology, but also published a major work on Diptera of C ... (1808–1904), he worked at the Museo Nacional de Historia Natural de Chile as a curator of birds and wrote extensively on Chilean ornithology. By profession, he was a pediatrician. Philippi was born in Santiago, Chile to physician Otto Philippi and trained in medicine like his father and became a paediatrician. He however took a keen interest in ornithology and was a curator of birds at the Museo Nacional de Historia Natural in Santiago from 1938 to 1966 and published some of the major works on the birds of the region. Rodulfo Brito Foucher (1899–1970) was a Mexican lawyer and academic who was rector of the National Autonomous University of Mexico from 1942 to 1944. He was the father of journalist and feminist activist Esperanza Brito de Martí. Manuel Rodulfo Tardo (February 18, 1913 in Pueblo Nuevo, Mantanzas Province, Cuba – December 22, 1998 in New York City) was a Cuban artist. Biography He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes "San Alejandro", Havana, Cuba, together with Juan Esnard Heydrich y José Francisco Cobos, and at The Sculpture Center, New York City. One of his mentors was the Cuban sculptor Juan José Sicre. He was a painter as well as a sculptor.
