Rodrigo José Galatto or simply Galatto (born 10 April 1983) is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Career In Brazil Born in Porto Alegre, Galatto started his youth career with Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, Grêmio. He made his first team debut in a Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B, Brazilian Série B in a 2–0 away win against Criciúma Esporte Clube, Criciúma EC, on 15 May 2005. Galatto became famous the match known as Batalha dos Aflitos (2005), Batalha dos Aflitos. The 2009 Copa Sudamericana de Clubes (officially the 2009 Copa Nissan Sudamericana de Clubes for sponsorship reasons) is the 8th edition of the CONMEBOL's secondary international club tournament. Internacional were the defending champions, having won the trophy the previous season. Ecuadorian side LDU Quito won the 2009 tournament, becoming the first Ecuadorian winners of the trophy.
