Rodica Mateescu
Rodica Mateescu (born Rodica Petrescu on March 13, 1971 in Bucharest) is a former triple jumper from Romania. Having set a personal best of 15.16 in 1997, she placed fourth at the 1997 IAAF World Indoor Championships and won a silver medal at the 1997 World Championships in Athletics, 1997 World Championships. The same year she placed third at the Grand Prix Final in Fukuoka, Fukuoka, Fukuoka. She has beebanned for life from the Olympics by the Romanian Olympic Committee (COR)after she tested positive for nandrolone in May 2000 during a training session in the Romanian Black Sea port of Constanta. Rodica Ramer is a Romanian born Australian professor of microelectronics at the University of New South Wales, where she and her team work on the development of radio-frequency microelectronic technologies, advancing wireless communication technology. Rodica Mihaela Stănoiu (born May 10, 1939) is a Romanian jurist and politician. A member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and later the Conservative Party (PC), she was a member of the Romanian Senate for Olt County from 1996 to 2008, with a hiatus in March–December 2004. In the Adrian Năstase cabinet, she was Minister of Justice from 2000 to 2004. Biography Born in Nucet, Dâmbovița County, she attended the Law Faculty of the University of Bucharest from 1957 to 1961. Rodica, Domžale
Rodica () is a settlement on the outskirts of Domžale in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It includes the hamlet of Groblje (''Leksikon občin kraljestev in dežel zastopanih v državnem zboru,'' vol. 6: ''Kranjsko''. 1906. Vienna: C. Kr. Dvorna in Državna Tiskarna, p. 27.). Name Rodica was attested in historical sources as ''Rodiza'' in 1232, ''Radicz'' in 1426, ''Rodiczs'' in 1428, and ''Rodin'' in 1467, among other spellings. Church The local parish church is built in the hamlet of Groblje in the settlement and is dedicated to Saints Hermagoras and Fortunatus. It was first mentioned in documents dating to 1526. In the late 18th century the church became the Carniolan centre of worship of Saint Notburga, a patron saint of peasants. At this time the original late Gothic church was rebuilt in the Baroque style and its interior fully painted with frescos by the painter Franc Jelovšek.
