Bearspaw, Alberta
Bearspaw is rural area in southern Alberta, Canada in Rocky View County. It has a population of 5,567 (2018). The original inhabitants of the Bearspaw area were the Niitsitapi or Blackfoot nation. The Blackfoot nation consisted of four different tribes, Siksika, Piegan Blackfeet, Piikani Nation and Kaninai (Blood Indians). To the south-east of Bearspaw is the City of Calgary, and the Town of Cochrane is to its west, along Highway 1A.
