Rockingham railway station is a railway station in Rockingham, Western Australia, Rockingham, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is on the Mandurah railway line, which is part of the Transperth commuter rail network. It has two side platforms, linked by a pedestrian overpass accessed by stairs, a lift, and escalators. Ennis Avenue
Ennis Avenue is a major road between Rockingham and its southern suburbs and is part of Australia's National Highway 1 for all of its length. It is a controlled access road and after leaving Rockingham has only four intersections (Willmott Drive, Safety Bay Road, Royal Palm Drive and Port Kennedy Drive)—the alternative route is Read Street and Warnbro Sound Avenue which runs roughly parallel to and west of Ennis Avenue. The Kwinana Freeway was built to Safety Bay Road in 2002, which means that Kwinana Freeway traffic going to Mandurah and the South West of Western Australia from Perth enters Ennis Avenue near its halfway point (7.5 km) at Safety Bay Road until the extension further south in 2009. Jarrahdale To Rockingham Railway Line
The Jarrahdale to Rockingham railway line was a private timber railway line connecting the timber mill at Jarrahdale with the port at Rockingham. It was the second railway line to operate in Western Australia, opening in 1872. From 1893, it connected to the South Western Railway at Mundijong. The section from Mundijong to Rockingham was removed in 1950 but the Jarrahdale to Mundijong section remained in operation until 1962. Rockingham Road, Perth
Rockingham Road is a major road between Fremantle and Kwinana in the southern suburbs of Perth. It is allocated National Route 1 – part of Australia's national Highway 1 – between Stock Road in Munster and its southern terminus in Kwinana. The first part of Rockingham Road is a main road and suburban distributor that goes from the southern edge of Fremantle into Hamilton Hill and Spearwood, passing the Phoenix Park shopping centre and the offices of the City of Cockburn. It then leaves the urban area (but not the metropolitan area). After becoming Highway 1, Rockingham Road acquires a very wide median strip - at one point the northbound and southbound lanes are 180 metres apart. Fremantle Railway Station
Fremantle railway station is the terminus of Transperth's Fremantle line in Western Australia. History The original Fremantle station opened in Cliff Street on 1 March 1881 as the terminus of the Eastern Railway to Guildford via Perth. As the Eastern Railway was extended, its importance grew. It became an important hub for gold miners arriving in Western Australia via ship and then travelling to the Yilgarn and Eastern Goldfields when the line opened to Kalgoorlie in 1896. In 1907, a new station and marshalling yards were established 300 metres to the north-east on the site of the former Fremantle Railway Workshops to better service the newly constructed Fremantle Harbour. The station was designed by William Dartnall, Chief Engineer of Existing Lines of the Railway Department in 1905. Rockingham Centre is a regional Shopping center, shopping centre located south-southwest of Perth, Western Australia, in the suburb of Rockingham, Western Australia, Rockingham. Kwinana Railway Line
The Kwinana freight railway lines are a network of railways predominantly servicing the heavy industrial areas at Kwinana Beach south of Perth and to provide for the transport of freight servicing Fremantle Harbour, Kewdale Intermodal Facility and other freight destinations in Perth. While some lines were constructed in the 1900s, most of the network was constructed in the 1950s and 1960s. Armadale Line
The Armadale line is a partially-closed suburban railway service in Perth, Western Australia, operated by the Public Transport Authority as part of the Transperth system. The Armadale line is long, and starts at Perth station, heading south-east of there to serve Perth's south-eastern suburbs, terminating at Armadale station. Since June 2025, the line has been closed from Beckenham Station to Armadale for the Rail Revitalisation Program and Byford extension with services operating between Perth and Cannington, as Beckanham is only being serviced by Thornlie-Cockburn Line services. Kwinana Freeway
The Kwinana Freeway is a freeway in and beyond the southern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, linking central Perth with Mandurah to the south. It is the central section of State Route 2, which continues north as Mitchell Freeway to Alkimos, and south as Forrest Highway towards Bunbury. A section between Canning and Leach highways is also part of National Route 1. Along its route are interchanges with several major roads, including Roe Highway and Mandjoogoordap Drive. The northern terminus of the Kwinana Freeway is at the Narrows Bridge, which crosses the Swan River, and the southern terminus is at Pinjarra Road, east of Mandurah. Mangles Bay
Mangles Bay () is a bay of Cockburn Sound in Western Australia which opens out to the Indian Ocean. The town of Rockingham, Western Australia, Rockingham is on its coast, and the causeway to Garden Island, Western Australia, Garden Island runs along its southern edge. The bay was named for the Mangles family and Ellen Stirling (née Mangles), the wife of Lieutenant-Governor James Stirling (Royal Navy officer), James Stirling.
