Rock En Seine
Rock en Seine () is a multiple-day rock music festival, held at Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, the Château de Saint-Cloud's park, west of Paris, inside the garden designed by André Le Nôtre. Name The name is a pun, based on exactly the same pronunciation in French of the words ''scène'' meaning 'stage' and Seine (the river separating Saint-Cloud from Central Paris after which the Hauts-de-Seine département is called). History * 2003: Birth of Rock en Seine on 27 August, with two stages and ten bands. * 2004: The festival extends over two days. It welcomes new artistic forms with Rockfolio, Rock en Strophes and Rock en Clips. * 2005: The festival site gets bigger: the third stage appears, as well as a campsite. * 2007: The festival extends over three days. * 2010: 105 000 people attending to this edition. * 2011: The fourth stage is emerging. * 2014: 120 000 people attending to this edition. The Parc de Saint-Cloud (; Park of Saint-Cloud), officially the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud (; National Estate of Saint-Cloud), is a ''domaine national'' (national estate) located mostly within the Saint-Cloud commune, in the Hauts-de-Seine department, southwest of Paris, France. The park, which covers , was a nature reserve on the left bank of the Seine until 1923. It was centred around the former Château de Saint-Cloud, home of Philippe I, Duke of Orléans (1640–1701), which was destroyed by French bombing in 1870 during the Franco-Prussian War after the Prussians had made a base of it. The château was the meeting place of the Council of Five Hundred and Council of Ancients on 10 November 1799, the day following Napoleon's Coup of 18 Brumaire. Fauve collective, sometimes stylized as FAUVE, is a French arts collective of music and videography established in 2010 in Paris. The band also uses the not equal to sign ≠. The act depends mostly on story telling through acting, through spoken word and musical accompaniment. The collective has its own record label called FAUVE CORP. FAUVE presents itself as an open collective, containing at times more than twenty members (musicians, but also actors, theatre technicians, visual artists). Modjo was a French house music duo formed in Paris in 1999 by producer Romain Tranchart (born 9 June 1976) and singer Yann Destagnol (born 14 July 1978). Keziah Jones (born Olufemi Sanyaolu on 10 January 1968) is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and guitarist. Jeremy Thomas McRae Blackall (born 19 March 1969), better known by his stage name Tom McRae, is an English singer-songwriter.
