Robin Hawkins
Robin Hawkins (born 11 February 1986) is a British musician, best known as a member of Welsh band The Automatic. Personal life Rob studied at Cowbridge#Schools, Cowbridge Comprehensive School, completing his A-levels and going on to take a chance with The Automatic in his gap year. Originally Rob was more interested in playing flute, joining the Cardiff and Vale Youth Orchestra, however later, at the age of 12 after buying a bass from Automatic guitarist James Frost, he taught himself to play and eventually saved enough money to afford his Fender Jazz Bass, Fender USA Jazz Bass. Hawkins speaks Esperanto as a hobby. He graduated from Cardiff University with a British undergraduate degree classification#First-class honours, first-class honours degree in Computer Science. The Automatic
The Automatic (also known as The Automatic Automatic in the U.S.) were a Welsh rock band. The band's final lineup was composed of Robin Hawkins on vocals, bass and synthesisers, James Frost on guitar, synthesisers and backing vocals, Iwan Griffiths on drums and Paul Mullen (musician), Paul Mullen on vocals, guitar and synthesiser. Mullen joined after the departure of Alex Pennie, who provided synthesiser, percussion and vocals. Zane Lowe
Alexander Zane Reed Lowe (born 1973) is a New Zealand radio DJ, live DJ, record producer, and television presenter. After an early career in music creation, production and DJing, he moved to the UK in 1997. He came to prominence through presenting on XFM and MTV Europe ( MTV Two), developing a DJ career by opening sets for bands and eventually landing a slot on prime-time radio on BBC Radio 1 from 2003 to 2015. In 2015, he was hired by Apple to be the Creative Director of their new world-wide music station, Apple Music 1. The Music Man StingRay is an electric bass originally made by Music Man. Introduced in 1976, the StingRay was co-designed by Leo Fender and followed a similar format to his namesake company's influential Precision Bass. The more notable design changes to the "P-Bass" were the use of an oversized humbucker pickup in the bridge position and the introduction of active electronics, which allowed for expanded EQ controls. Following Music Man's sale to Ernie Ball Inc. in 1984, the StingRay continued to be produced as the Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay. The Zutons
The Zutons are an English indie rock band formed in Liverpool, in 2002. The band currently consists of Dave McCabe (vocals, guitar), Abi Harding (saxophone), Jay Lewis (guitar), Neil Bradley (keyboards) and Tim Cunningham (bass).
