Roberto Parra Sandoval
Luis Roberto Parra Sandoval (June 29, 1921 – April 21, 1995), also known as El Tío Roberto (''Uncle Roberto''), was a Chilean singer-songwriter and guitarist, member of the Parra family, many of whose members are famous artists. Biography Early times Luis Roberto Parra Sandoval born on June 29, 1921 in Santiago de Chile, is the fifth child of Rosa Clarisa Sandoval Navarrete and Nicanor Parra Alarcón. He spent much of his childhood in the southern cities of Chillán and Lautaro, Chile , Lautaro and contributed to the family budget by working as a newspaper seller, tomb cleaner, shoe shiner and confetti seller in circuses. Tango
Tango is a partner dance and social dance that originated in the 1880s along the Río de la Plata, the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay. The tango was born in the impoverished port areas of these countries from a combination of Argentine Milonga, Spanish-Cuban Habanera, and Uruguayan Candombe celebrations. It was frequently practiced in the brothels and bars of ports, where business owners employed bands to entertain their patrons. It then spread to the rest of the world. Ángel Parra (singer-songwriter)
Luis Ángel Cereceda Parra, known as Ángel Parra (27 June 1943 – 11 March 2017), was a Chilean singer and songwriter, son of Violeta Parra and Luis Cereceda Arenas, brother of Isabel Parra. His Naming customs of Hispanic America, main civil surname was Cereceda, but he stage name, performed under his maternal surname Parra. He traveled abroad helping to maintain the Nueva Canción#Chile, Nueva Canción tradition in Chilean expatriate communities in Europe, North America, and Australia. His son Ángel Cereceda Orrego, also known as Ángel Parra, is the lead guitarist for the band Los Tres. Parra died of lung cancer in Paris, France, on 11 March 2017, aged 73.
