Roberto González-Monjas
Roberto González-Monjas (born February 23, 1988, in Valladolid, Spain) is a Spanish classical violinist and conductor. Education He studied at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg with Igor Ozim and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with David Takeno. He has been very much influenced by musical contact with John Corigliano, Ana Chumachenco, Rainer Schmidt, Sergey Fatkulin, Reinhard Goebel, Mark Stringer, Leonidas Kavakos, Gábor Takacs-Nagy, Christian Tetzlaff, the Hagen Quartet, András Schiff and Ferenc Rados. Conductor and soloist Since the 2019/2020 season, Roberto González-Monjas is the Chief conductor of the Dalasinfoniettan in Falun, Sweden. In July 2020 the Musikkollegium Winterthur announced Roberto González-Monjas as their new Chief Conductor, effective from Season 2021/2022. Leonidas Kavakos
Leonidas Kavakos (; born 30 October 1967) is a Greek violinist and conductor. He has won several international violin competition prizes, including the Sibelius, Paganini, Naumburg, and Indianapolis competitions. He is an Onassis Foundation scholar. He has also recorded for record labels such as Sony/BMG and BIS. As a conductor, he was an artistic director of the Camerata Salzburg and has been a guest conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra and Boston Symphony Orchestra. Beginnings Born in Athens into a musical family, Kavakos first learned to play the violin when he was five and later enrolled in the Hellenic Conservatory, studying with Stelios Kafantaris. New World Symphony (orchestra)
The New World Symphony is an American orchestral academy based in Miami Beach, Florida. Established in 1987, the organization is a training ensemble for young musicians in preparation for professional careers in classical music. Since 2011, the New World Symphony has its headquarters in the New World Center. History In 1987, Michael Tilson Thomas established the New World Symphony, with initial financial assistance from Ted Arison, the founder of Carnival Cruise Lines. Thomas and Arison had similar visions of a training orchestra for young conservatory graduates to assist them in finding employment with professional orchestras. The ''Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine'' (ONBA) is a French symphony orchestra based in Bordeaux. Its principal concert venue is the ''Palais des sports''. Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra
The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO; ) is a Malaysian orchestra based in Kuala Lumpur. The orchestra is resident at the Petronas Philharmonic Hall (Dewan Filharmonik Petronas). It is one of Asia's leading orchestras and is praised for its musical qualities. Ulster Orchestra
The Ulster Orchestra is a full-time professional orchestra in Northern Ireland. Based in Belfast, the orchestra plays the majority of its concerts in Belfast's Ulster Hall and Waterfront Hall. Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg
The Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg is an Austrian orchestra, based in the town and state of Salzburg. The orchestra gives concerts in several Salzburg venues, including the '' Großes Festspielhaus'' and the Great Hall of the Stiftung Mozarteum. The Orchester Musikkollegium Winterthur is a Swiss symphony orchestra based in Winterthur, Switzerland at its namesake venue, the Musikkollegium Winterthur. Ferenc Rados
Ferenc Rados (26 October 1934 – 25 February 2025) was a Hungarian pianist who performed internationally as recitalist, chamber musician and soloist with orchestras. He was professor of piano and chamber music at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music from the 1960s until 1996 where he shaped the careers of a generation of students, including Kirill Gerstein and András Schiff.
