Roberto Acuña
Roberto Miguel Acuña Cabello (; born 25 March 1972) is a Paraguayan former footballer. Nicknamed "''El Toro"'' (The Bull) due to his strength and dominating presence, he operated mainly as a central midfielder. He spent several years as a professional in Spain at Zaragoza and Deportivo, appearing rarely for the latter club. Acuña played 100 times for Paraguay, representing the nation in three World Cups and four Copa América tournaments. Club career Acuña was born in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires, Argentina, emigrating to Paraguay (his father's origin country) at a young age and starting playing for Club Nacional in 1989. 2015 South American Beach Soccer Championship
The 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup CONMEBOL qualifier, also commonly known as the ''2015 South American Beach Soccer Championship'', was the sixth Beach Soccer World Cup qualification championship for South America, held from April 19–26 at Playa del Murciélago, in Manta, Ecuador. The qualifiers were not coordinated by CONMEBOL at the time. The event was organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW), under the ''FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier'' title. CONMEBOL reported on the event under the title of ''South American Beach Soccer Championship''. CONMEBOL eventually began organising the qualifiers in 2017, under a new title. The Paraguayan Footballer of the Year is an award given to the best Paraguayan professional Association football, football player every year. The award began officially in 1997 and it is presented by Paraguayan newspaper ''ABC Color''. Players that participate in this award can play in any professional football club in the world (although they do not necessarily have to be Paraguayan football clubs) and have to be either Paraguayan-born or Paraguayan-naturalised players.
