Robert Nemeček
Robert Nemeček (Serbian Cyrillic: Роберт Немечек, 26 May 1949 – 9 January 2024) was a Serbian and Yugoslav musician, music producer, television editor, and organizer of events related to music. Nemeček started his musical career as a member of the progressive/psychedelic rock band Dogovor iz 1804. After the group ended its activity, Nemeček shortly played with one of the last lineups of Džentlmeni, before forming the progressive rock band Pop Mašina in 1972. The band achieved nationwide success, disbanding in 1978. In 1980, Nemeček, with other former members of Pop Mašina, formed the short-lasting but influential hard rock and heavy metal band Rok Mašina. After Rok Mašina disbanded in 1982, Nemeček retired from music. Nemeček started his career in the media in the late 1970s, as correspondent from London for Yugoslav magazines. Jazz
Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its roots are in blues, ragtime, European harmony, African rhythmic rituals, spirituals, hymns, marches, vaudeville song, and dance music. Since the 1920s Jazz Age, it has been recognized as a major form of musical expression in traditional and popular music. Belgrade Opera
The National Theatre ( sr-cyr, Народно позориште, Narodno pozorište) is a theatre located in Belgrade, Serbia. Founded in the latter half of the 19th century, it is located on the Republic Square, at the corner of Vasina and Francuska Street. With the raising of this building as well as with the implementation of the Regulations Plan of Town in Trench by Josimović from 1867, the conditions were made for the formation of today's main Republic Square in Belgrade. Built back in 1868, the National Theatre, following the fate of its own people and the country, went through different phases of the architectural and artistic development, surviving as a symbol of Serbian culture, tradition and spirituality. The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra () is an orchestra located in Belgrade, Serbia. It is regularly considered one of the finest in the country. History Unlike most European countries and cities, Serbia and Belgrade were rather late in receiving a fine orchestra. Thus the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1923. Its founder, first director and chief conductor was Stevan Hristić, one of the most important Serbian composers and conductors. The inauguration concert of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra took place on April 28, 1923 under the baton of maestro Hristić. TV Avala (full legal name: TV Avala d.o.o., Serbian Cyrillic: ТВ Авала) was a Serbian television network with national frequency. RTV Politika () was a major Serbian TV station, owned by Politika AD, that was on the air from June 28, 1990 until December 31, 2010. It was founded on June 28, 1990 and it was a majority-owned subsidiary of the aforementioned Politika AD media company that solely dealt in print media up to that point.
