Rivière Aux Saumons (Massawippi River Tributary)
The Rivière aux Saumons is a tributary of the Massawippi River which flows into the Saint-François River, a sub-tributary of the St. Lawrence River. It flows through the municipalities of Sainte-Edwidge-de-Clifton, Martinville, Compton, Cookshire-Eaton, Lennoxville, from Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. Forestry and agriculture are the main economic activities in this valley. Lennoxville () is an ''arrondissement'', or borough, of the city of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. Lennoxville is located at the confluence of the St. Francis and Massawippi Rivers approximately five kilometres south of downtown Sherbrooke. Cookshire-Eaton, Quebec
Cookshire-Eaton is a city in the Estrie region of Quebec. It is the seat of Le Haut-Saint-François Regional County Municipality. Sherbrooke Airport is located there. As part of the 2000–2006 municipal reorganization in Quebec, on 24 July 2002 the city of Cookshire, the municipality of Newport and the township of Eaton were merged to form Cookshire-Eaton; prior to this, on 25 April 2001, the village of Sawyerville had merged with Eaton. After a 2004 referendum, however, Newport de-merged and was reconstituted as an independent municipality as of 1 January 2006. Coaticook ( , ) is a town on the Coaticook River, located in southeastern Quebec, Canada. It resides in the region of Estrie, which is often referred to colloquially as the Eastern Townships. It is the seat of the Coaticook Regional County Municipality, and its southern border is also the Canada–United States border.
