Rio Virgen County, Utah Territory
Rio Virgen County is a former county in the U.S. state of Utah. It was established by the Territory of Utah on February, 1869. History Iron County, Provisional State of Deseret; Washington County, Utah Latter-day Saints, in 1839, two years after their initial arrival in Salt Lake Valley, within then uncolonized eastern Alta California, created the Provisional " Deseret," proposed to include the watersheds both of the ''Río Colorado'' and " Great Interior Basin" . Deseret's provisional General Assembly in January 1850 established Little Salt Lake County (later that year renamed Iron County) with its southern boundaries' "extending south to the rim of the Basin." Arizona Strip
The Arizona Strip is the part of Arizona lying north of the Colorado River. Despite being larger in area than several U.S. states, the entire region has a population of fewer than 10,000 people. Consisting of northeastern Mohave County and northwestern Coconino County, the largest settlements in the Strip are Colorado City, Fredonia, and Beaver Dam, with smaller communities of Scenic, Littlefield and Desert Springs. The Muddy River, formerly known as the Moapa River, is a short river located in Clark County, in southern Nevada, United States. It is in the Mojave Desert, approximately north of Las Vegas. Geography The Muddy River is approximately long. It begins as a series of thermal springs in the Moapa Valley before continuing on its course to Lake Mead, where it drains into the northern arm of the lake near Overton, Nevada. Callville, Nevada
Callville is a former settlement of Clark County in the U.S. state of Nevada. Abandoned in 1869, it was submerged under Lake Mead when the Colorado River was dammed, Callville Bay retaining the name. At one time, it was noted to be the southernmost outpost of the Mormon settlement. Geography Located from Salt Lake City, Calville was situated on the west bank of the Colorado River, in what was at the time Pah-Ute County, Arizona Territory. St. George is a city in and the county seat of Washington County, Utah, United States.
