Rimas Kurtinaitis (born 15 May 1960) is a Lithuanian professional basketball coach and former player who is currently the head coach of the Lithuania men's national basketball team, Lithuania men's national team and Sabah BC. As a player, he was a member of the senior Soviet Union national basketball team, Soviet and Lithuania men's national basketball team, Lithuanian national basketball teams and won a gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics, 1988 Seoul Olympics. At a height of tall, he played at the shooting guard position. He is the only non-National Basketball Association, NBA player to ever participate at the NBA All-Star Weekend's Three-Point Contest, doing so in 1989, where he scored 9 points. Juozas Rimas
Juozas Rimas (born 1942) is a Lithuanian oboist and professor at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre who has recorded over 150 pieces and played for a number of regional orchestras. Biography Juozas Rimas graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 1965, and completed his post-graduate studies at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory in 1969. He began performing as a soloist in 1961, and has been one of the most active Lithuanian soloists since then. Rimas' performances have frequently been featured on Lithuanian National Radio. He has participated in a number of international festivals, performing in the genres of classical music, jazz, and Lithuanian folk music, as well as premiering about 50 pieces written for the oboe by Georgian, Uzbek, and Russian composers. Rimas Tuminas
Rimas Tuminas (20 January 1952 – 6 March 2024) was a Lithuanian theatre director. He was awarded the State Prize of Russia in 1999. From 2007 he was the Artistic director of the Moscow Vakhtangov theatre. With Tuminas, the Vakhtangov Theatre occupied a leading position among the Russian theatres. In 2011, the theatre was recognized as the most visited theatre in Moscow. Biography From 1970 to 1974, Tuminas studied at the Conservatory of Lithuania. In 1978 he finished GITIS in Moscow (Joseph Tumanov's directing course). From 1979 he was the director of Lithuanian national drama theatre. In 1990 he founded the Little Theatre of Vilnius. From 2012 he organised the Vasara Annual Festival in Druskininkai. Among his well-known productions are ''Eugene Onegin'', ''Uncle Vanya'', and ''Masquerade''.
