Birvėta
Birvėta () is a river in eastern Lithuania and Belarus (Vitebsk Region). It is a right tributary of Dysna. The river starts near the Kirkučiai village, Sirvėta Regional Park, Švenčionys District. It flows north passing through the Kančioginas lake. From there, it flows north and east through the Ignalina District. Up to its confluence with the Erzvėtas lake, the river is known as Kančiogina. Next again flowing east, flows through swampy areas and passes by fishing ponds. After , Birvėta crosses the Belarus–Lithuania border and forms a natural border between the Pastavy District, Pastavy and Braslaw Districts. It empties into the Dysna at from Dysna's estuary to the south of Kaziany. Birvėta's valley is shallow and boggy. Vosiūnai () is a village in the eastern part of Ignalina district in Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, it had 29 residents. It is located east of Navikai, near the border with Belarus. The territory of Lithuania is divided into 10 counties ( Lithuanian: singular ''apskritis'', plural ''apskritys''), all named after their capitals. A ''seniūnija'' (in English: eldership, elderate, ward, parish, or subdistrict) is the smallest Subdivisions of Lithuania, administrative division of Lithuania. An eldership may comprise a very small region consisting of few villages, one single town, or a part of a big city. Elderships vary in size and population depending on their location and nature. A few elderships make up a municipality. Šilainiai, Dainava (Kaunas), Dainava, Verkiai, Žirmūnai and Pašilaičiai are the most populous elderates, with population counts over , around twice the population of some entire municipalities.
