Manchester Township is a Township (New Jersey), township in Ocean County, New Jersey, Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. The township is noted for containing the Lakehurst Maxfield Field, Lakehurst Naval Air Station, the site of the infamous Hindenburg disaster of May 6, 1937. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 45,115, an increase of 2,045 from the 2010 United States census, 2010 census enumeration of 43,070, which in turn reflected an increase of 4,142 (+10.6%) from the 38,928 counted in the 2000 United States census, 2000 census.
