Richland Township is one of the seventeen townships of Logan County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,645. Geography Located in the northern part of the county, it borders the following townships: * McDonald Township, Hardin County - north * Taylor Creek Township, Hardin County - northeast * Rushcreek Township - east * McArthur Township - south * Washington Township - southwest * Stokes Township - west * Roundhead Township, Hardin County - northwest The village of Belle Center is located in northern Richland Township, and the unincorporated community of Northwood lies in the township's southeast, along the border with McArthur Township. State Route 366 (SR 366) is an east–west state highway in the western portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. SR 366 has its western terminus at a T-intersection with U.S. Route 33 (US 33) nearly northwest of Lakeview. The route's eastern terminus is at State Route 117 about north of Huntsville. SR 366 runs along the western and southern edge of Indian Lake and provides access to homes and recreational facilities along the lake shoreline. Ohio State Route 235
State Route 235 (SR 235) is a north–south state highway in the western portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its southern terminus is at US 68 near the small town of Oldtown just north of Xenia, and its northern terminus is at State Route 65 at the Maumee River nearly east of Grand Rapids, west of Otsego. Prior to late 1968, SR 235's northern terminus was at an intersection with State Route 4 and then State Route 69, which ran from downtown Dayton northward to State Route 65. With the reconstruction of SR 4/SR 69 to a high speed thoroughfare from I-75 to I-70, SR 69 southwards was discontinued, and northwards from the intersection was renumbered as an almost 200 mile northern extension of SR 235. Northwood is a small, unincorporated community crossroads village in northern Logan County, Ohio, United States. It lies along the line between Richland Township and McArthur Township, approximately two miles south of the village of Belle Center and near the South Fork of the Great Miami River. Northwood was founded in the early 19th century, during the early years of settlement in Logan County. Its primary significance lies in its being the original site of Geneva College. Geneva College During the 1830s, the Rev. J. B. Johnston, pastor of the Miami Reformed Presbyterian Church in Northwood, began teaching a small classical school in his study.
