Ricardo Sánchez (footballer)
Ricardo Sánchez (born May 27, 1982) is a former Mexican footballer. Career Club Sánchez began his career in his native Mexico, playing for numerous Primera División A teams, including the reserve teams of Guadalajara and Atlas in his hometown of Guadalajara, as well as Irapuato, UAT and Querétaro. Sánchez came to the United States in 2007 to play for the USL First Division expansion franchise California Victory. When the Victory folded at the end of their first season he would sign with the Minnesota Thunder, the same team he scored an overtime goal against in the Open Cup earlier that season. In his first year with the Thunder Sánchez co-lead the team in goals, finishing with 10. He also accumulated four assists during the season. The 2009 season would be a very productive year for Sánchez. He notched seven goals and co-lead the league in assists with eight, sharing the honor with Wes Knight. Jonny Steele
Jonathan Steele (born 7 February 1986) is a Northern Irish professional footballer. He has also received three caps for the Northern Ireland national team. Early life Steele was raised in a Catholic family along with three brothers in the predominantly Protestant town of Larne, about 25 miles outside of Belfast. Steele often experienced religious violence and persecution resulting from The Troubles, including being attacked outside of a video rental store. Because of this violence, Steele's mother pleaded with him to leave home and the best opportunity to play football came from Wolverhampton Wanderers. Charles Gbeke (born March 15, 1978) is a former professional soccer player who played as a forward. Born in Ivory Coast, he made three appearances for the Canada national team. Gbeke began his career with brief stints with Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps, where he was deployed as a defender but failed to establish himself as a starter. It was in the Canadian Professional Soccer League during his stint with the Ottawa Wizards where he made the transition to a striker. His achievements at Ottawa included the Eastern Conference title, and an undefeated season. Career College and amateur Knight attended Wren High School and played club soccer for the Greenville Futbol club, and played college soccer at the College of Charleston from 2004 to 2008, where he was named to the second team All-Southern Conference and to the NSCAA All-South Region second team as a junior and first team All-Southern Conference and NSCAA All-South Region second team as a senior.
