Ricardo Pietreczko
Ricardo Pietreczko (born 20 October 1994) is a German professional darts player. Nicknamed "Pikachu" after the character from ''Pokémon'', he competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where he is currently ranked world number twenty-nine. He won his maiden PDC title at the 2023 German Darts Championship and reached his first major quarter-final at the 2024 European Championship. Career Pietreczko started playing darts at the age of 16 after his father put a dartboard in his room and he trained diligently before and after school. In 2014, he took part in qualifiers for PDC European Tour events, but was not able to qualify. At the national level, however, he was doing much better. He advanced to the semi-finals of the Super League Darts. In 2016, he took part in the 4 Nations Cup for the Germany team and reached the semi-finals in singles competition, where he lost to Wesley Harms 5–3 in legs. WDF World Cup
The WDF World Cup is a darts tournament organised by the World Darts Federation and held biennially since 1977. It has featured men's events since the beginning, while women's events were added in 1983 and youth events in 1999. The most recent tournament, the 2023 World Cup, was held in Esbjerg, Denmark. The event used to be broadcast on ITV in the United Kingdom, but coverage of the tournament ceased after the 1987 World Cup. Tournament structure Men's national teams participating in the WDF World Cup consist of four players per country, competing as singles, pairs and in a four-player team event. Starting in 2015, women's teams will also consist of four players each and compete in these three types of events, having previously comprised only two players for singles and pairs competitions. Daniel Zygla
Daniel Zygla (born 24 April 1990) is a German former professional darts player who played in British Darts Organisation The British Darts Organisation (BDO) was a darts organisation founded on 7 January 1973 by Olly Croft, and dissolved in 2020 under the stewardship of Des Jacklin. Made up of 66 member counties, it oversaw professional, semi-professional and ... (BDO) events. Since 2016, he has won three regional tournaments in Germany: the Kirchheim Classic and the Kirchheim Open in 2016, and the Dinslaken Open in 2017. In 2023, Zygla attended EU Q-School, however failed to win a PDC Tour Card, instead competing on the Challenge Tour.
