Ricardo Macías Picavea (June 17, 1847 – May 11, 1899) was a writer and reformer. Life Ricardo Macías Picavea was born in Santoña, Cantabria, Spain on June 17, 1847. He received a Bachelor of Arts in 1863 in Valladolid Valladolid ( ; ) is a Municipalities of Spain, municipality in Spain and the primary seat of government and ''de facto'' capital of the Autonomous communities of Spain, autonomous community of Castile and León. It is also the capital of the pr .... He then went on to study law and philosophy at the Universities of Madrid and Valladolid, but stopped due to disagreements with the universities. In 1874, Macías Picavea became an institute professor in Latin and geography, and received his Ph.D. in 1876. He resided in Valladolid for the rest of his life, and died there on May 11, 1899. Santoña
Santoña is a town in the eastern coast of the autonomous community of Cantabria, on the north coast of Spain. It is situated by the bay of the same name. It is from the capital Santander, Cantabria, Santander. Santoña is divided into two zones, an urban plain, and a mountainous area, with Mount Buciero at its eastern limit, and Brusco and the beach of Berria to the north.
