Ribeirão Preto Airport
Dr. Leite Lopes State Airport is an airport serving Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. Since December 11, 1956 it is named after José Leite Lopes (1918–2006), a Brazilian scientist. It is operated by Rede Voa. History Dr. Leite Lopes State Airport was opened on April 2, 1939, and soon after, in 1940, the runway was extended for the first time. In 1996 the whole airport complex received its major renovation in which the runway and adjoining taxiway were extended from 1,800m to 2,100m and a new larger apron was built. In 2006 the width of the runway was enlarged to 45m and finally in July 2010 the renovation and enlargement of the terminal building was completed. On July 15, 2021 the concession of the airport was auctioned to Rede Voa under the name Consórcio Voa NW e Voa SE. The airport was previously operated by DAESP. DAESP
DAESP - Departamento Aeroviário do Estado de São Paulo () was the São Paulo state (in Brazil) aviation department. DAESP was part of the ''Secretaria de Transportes do Governo do Estado de São Paulo'' (), and was responsible for the management of 21 public airports within the state, in accordance to directives from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC). It was created in 1963 as ''Diretoria de Aeroportos'' () of the ''Secretaria de Viação e Obras Públicas'' (). This Directorate was changed to DAESP in 1966. DAESP was extinct on April 14, 2022. Porto Seguro International Airport is the airport serving Porto Seguro, Brazil. It is operated by Sinart. History The airport was commissioned in 1982 but in 1997 a brand new passenger terminal and apron were opened. The Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File or DAFIF () is a comprehensive database of up-to-date aeronautical data, including information on airports, airways, airspaces, navigation data, and other facts relevant to flying in the entire world, managed by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) of the United States. Withdrawal of public access DAFIF was publicly available until October 2006 through the Internet; however, it was closed to public access because "increased numbers of foreign source providers are claiming intellectual property rights or are forewarning NGA that they intend to copyright their source". Currently, only federal and state government agencies, authorized government contractors, and Department of Defense customers are able to access the DAFIF data. São Paulo/Congonhas–Deputado Freitas Nobre Airport is one of the four commercial airports serving São Paulo, Brazil. The airport is named after the neighborhood where it is located, called Vila Congonhas, property of the descendants of Lucas Antônio Monteiro de Barros (1767–1851), Viscount of Congonhas, Congonhas do Campo, first president of the province of São Paulo after the independence of Brazil in 1822, during the Empire of Brazil, Empire.
