Reykjavík University (RU; is, Háskólinn í Reykjavík) is the largest private university in Iceland with approximately 3,300 students (October 2020). It is Charter school, chartered by the Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Icelandic Industries, and the Confederation of Icelandic Employers. It should not be confused with the University of Iceland which is also located in Reykjavík. The university consists of seven academic departments in two schools. Within the School of Social Sciences are: the Department of Law, Department of Business Administration, Department of Sport Science and Department of Psychology. Within the School of Technology are the Department of Computer Science, Department of Engineering and Department of Applied Engineering. The university is bilingual (English and Icelandic). Ragnhildur Helgadóttir (academic)
Ragnhildur Helgadóttir (also Ragnhild Helgadóttir; 1930–2016) was an Icelandic politician. She was a member of the Icelandic parliament, the Althing, first from 1956 for the Independence Party. From 1961 to December 1962 she was the First President of the Lower House, and she was president of the parliament several times. From 1983 to 1987 she was a government minister, first of education, then of health, social and communication. Early life Ragnhildur was born 26 May 1930 in Reykjavík, the daughter of Helgi Tómasson, a physician and longtime chairman of the Scouts organisation Bandalag íslenskra skáta. Career She was elected member of the Althing in 1956 as a candidate of the Independence Party. At the time, she was 26 years old, and became the youngest female ever elected to the Althing. The University of Camerino ( it, Università degli Studi di Camerino) is a university located in Camerino, Italy. It is the best university of Italy among those with fewer than 10,000 students, according to the Guida Censis Repubblica 2011 and 2012 ranking. Nauthólsvík (, "bull hill bay") is a Seaside resort and a small neighbourhood in Reykjavík, the capital city of Iceland, about from Perlan Perlan (; English: The Pearl) is a prominent landmark in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavík. The area inside the cove is usually a few degrees warmer than the ocean. The temperature of the hot tub is pretty consistent around with the second hot tub being a lot cooler. A Bachelor of Science (BS, BSc, SB, or ScB; from the Latin ') is a bachelor's degree awarded for programs that generally last three to five years. The first university to admit a student to the degree of Bachelor of Science was the University of London in 1860.
