Revue Européenne Des Migrations Internationales
The ''Revue Européenne des Migrations Internationales'' is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal published by the University of Poitiers with support from the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). Articles can be freely accessed via the OpenEdition Journals platform after a one-year embargo period. The main publication languages are French and English, the abstracts are also available in Spanish. Issues published prior to 2002 are available via Persée. History The journal was established in 1985 by Gildas Simon (University of Poitiers/CNRS) to disseminate the results of the research on international migration and interethnic relations, promote new research topics and subjects, and contribute to the scientific collaboration between European researchers and institutions. Migration studies is the academic study of human migration. Migration studies is an interdisciplinary field which draws on anthropology, prehistory, history, economics, law, sociology and postcolonial studies. Origin and development of migration studies Migration studies did not develop along a uni-linear path and it has developed with significantly different trajectories in different academic cultures and traditions. Migration studies does not exist as a self-contained discipline and instead finds its heritage in a variety of places. The School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (, EHESS) is a graduate ''grande école'' and '' grand établissement'' in Paris focused on academic research in the social sciences. The school awards Master and PhD degrees alone and conjointly with the grandes écoles École normale supérieure, École polytechnique, and École pratique des hautes études. Delayed Open Access Journals
Delayed open-access journals are traditional subscription-based journals that provide free online access upon the expiry of an embargo period following the initial publication date. Details The embargo period before an article is made available for free can vary from a few months to two or more years. In a 2013 study, 77.8% of delayed open access journals analyzed had an embargo of 12 months or less. 85.4% had an embargo period of 24 months or less. A journal subscription or an individual article purchase fee would be required to access the materials before this embargo period ends. Some delayed access journals also deposit their publications in open repositories when the author is bound by a delayed open-access mandate.
