The Resolution Tour was a concert tour by American heavy metal band Lamb of God in support of the group's seventh studio album, ''Resolution'', which was released in January 2012. Overview The tour begin on January 22, 2012 with a concert at the band's hometown of Richmond, Virginia. After a North American leg, the band toured Asia, Australia (performing on the Soundwave Festival), and Latin America. In May 2012, the band played dates in India and Israel before beginning a month-long European leg. Lamb of God (sometimes abbreviated as LoG) is an American heavy metal band from Richmond, Virginia. Formed in 1994 as Burn the Priest, the group consists of bassist John Campbell, vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, and drummer Art Cruz. The band is considered a significant member of the new wave of American heavy metal movement. Since their formation, Lamb of God has released eleven studio albums, including two under the name Burn the Priest; their most recent album, '' Omens'', was released in October 2022. The band has also released one live album, one compilation album, three DVDs, two EPs, and twenty-eight singles. Hellyeah
Hellyeah, stylized as HELLYEAH, was an American heavy metal supergroup formed in Dallas, Texas, in 2006. The band's last lineup consisted of lead vocalist Chad Gray, guitarists Christian Brady and Tom Maxwell, bassist Kyle Sanders, and drummer Roy Mayorga. The idea to form a supergroup originated in 2000 on the Tattoo the Earth tour, although plans were constantly put on hold due to scheduling conflicts. The summer of 2006 allowed the band to take the project seriously and record its first album. Recorded at Chasin' Jason studio in Dimebag Darrell's backyard, their self-titled album entered the ''Billboard'' 200 at number 9, selling 45,000 copies. The Acacia Strain is an American metalcore band originally from Chicopee, Massachusetts. They are currently signed to Rise Records. The band has released ten full-length albums. History Forming in 2001, The Acacia Strain was started by high school friends Vincent Bennett, Christopher Daniele, and Ben Abert. Looking to bring their current band Septic Orgasm to the next level of technicality, they brought in their mutual friend, Karrie Whitfield, and high school student Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz to play bass and guitar respectively. Kepone (band)
Kepone Is an American indie rock band based out of Richmond, Virginia. Formed in 1991, the band's name was derived from the Kepone crisis that occurred in the Richmond area in the 1970s. Originally formed as a side project of Michael Bishop of Gwar, the original line-up of the band also included guitarist Tim Harriss of Burma Jam and Hoi-Polloi as well as drummer Seth Harris of Honor Role. Kepone released their debut album, ''Ugly Dance'', through Quarterstick Records in 1994. Harris left soon after to focus on environmental activism, and Ed Trask of the Holy Rollers replaced him. The band released two more albums, ''Skin'' and ''Kepone'', before their eventual break up. The three would play separately in other bands before reuniting to form American Grizzly with vocalist Bunny Wells. American Grizzly broke up in 2005. Paul Waggoner
Paul Andrew Waggoner is the lead guitarist of American progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me. A fan of progressive music, he is heavily inspired by John Petrucci, Pat Metheny, Allan Holdsworth and Steve Vai, amongst others. He formerly played guitar in the metalcore bands, From Here On and Prayer for Cleansing. He had also played live guitar as needed for Lamb of God between 2010 and 2014. Mark Morton (guitarist)
Mark Duane Morton (born November 25, 1972) is an American musician and digital projects manager who is the lead guitarist and one of the founding members of the heavy metal band Lamb of God. Early life Morton grew up near Williamsburg, Virginia. His first band was Axis, which was composed of other local youth, one being Ryan Lake of Alabama Thunderpussy fame. Morton played rhythm guitar. The band became a popular local act winning the local battle of the bands competition, known as Stockwood, in 1988. Career Morton, Chris Adler, and John Campbell met in 1990 at Virginia Commonwealth University where they were room mates. Several years later, they formed a band under the name "Burn the Priest". Morton soon left to pursue a master's degree, and the band added guitarist Abe Spear, and vocalist, Randy Blythe. Matt DeVries
Matthew DeVries (born January 28, 1977) is the former rhythm guitarist in the heavy metal band Chimaira and the former bassist in the metal band Fear Factory. During his time with Chimaira, he, along with Rob Arnold (the lead guitarist) and Mark Hunter (the lead singer), wrote many of the band's songs. In 2005, DeVries appeared on the '' Roadrunner United: The All Star Sessions'' album, playing on two of the tracks written by Joey Jordison of Slipknot, "Annihilation by the Hands of God," and "Constitution Down". In 2003, DeVries was beaten badly in Liverpool while on tour with Chimaira. Fear Factory
Fear Factory is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1989. Throughout the band's career, they have released ten full-length albums and have evolved through a succession of sounds, all in their main style of industrial metal. Over the years, Fear Factory has seen frequent changes in its lineup, with lead vocalist Burton C. Bell being the only consistent member for 31 years until his departure in 2020. Other than guitarist Dino Cazares, there are no original members left in its current lineup.
