Renée-Élisabeth Marlié (1714 – 27 March 1773, Paris) was an 18th-century French engraver. Biography The daughter of a master writer, Marlié married François-Bernard Lépicié in 1732, an engraver who taught her his art and, according to Pierre-Jean Mariette, used her skill in several of his own works. François-Bernard Lépicié
François-Bernard Lépicié (6 October 1698 – 17 January 1755) was an 18th-century French engraver, historiographer and biographer. Lépicié married Renée-Élisabeth Marlié, who became an engraver under the training of her husband and with whom he had a son, the painter Nicolas-Bernard Lépicié. He died from a stroke. Michael Bryan (9 April 1757 – 21 March 1821) was an English art historian, art dealer and connoisseur. He was involved in the purchase and resale of the great French Orleans Collection of art, selling it on to a British syndicate, and owned a fashionable art gallery in Savile Row, London. Nicolas Bernard Lépicié
Nicolas Bernard Lépicié (16 June 1735 – 15 September 1784) was an 18th-century French painter and teacher of painting, the son of two well-known engravers at the time, François-Bernard Lépicié and Renée-Élisabeth Marlié.
