René Pranz
René Pranz (born 4 August 1985) is an Austrian fencer, specialising in the foil, who competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Personal life Pranz was born on 4 August 1985 in Vienna, Austria. He studied for a degree in economics and law at the University of Salzburg. Fencing At the 2006 European Fencing Championships in İzmir, Turkey, Pranz was part of an Austrian squad that finished eighth in the team foil event. At the 2006 World Fencing Championships he placed 48th in the individual foil; in 2007 he was 64th, in 2009 he was 26th and in 2010 he finished 51st. At the 2011 European Fencing Championships in Sheffield, United Kingdom, he placed seventh in the individual foil. The same year he finished 44th in the individual event at the World Championships. 2013 Summer Universiade
The 2013 Summer Universiade, officially known as the XXVII Summer Universiade (; ), was held in the city of Kazan, Russia, the most northerly city ever to host a Summer Universiade. Over 10,400 university athletes from 162 countries participated in 13 mandatory and 14 optional sports, making the 2013 Universiade the biggest ever in the history of the event. For the first time in history a Cultural Universiade was also included, with many festivals and shows held simultaneously with the sporting events. The Universiade was organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and by the authorities of the Russian Federation. 2015 European Games
The 1st European Games (), also known as the 2015 European Games or Baku 2015 (), were the inaugural edition of the European Games, an international multi-sport event for athletes representing the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of the European Olympic Committees. It took place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 12 to 28 June 2015, and featured almost 6,000 athletes from 50 countries competing in 30 sports, including 15 summer Olympic and 2 non-Olympic sports. Host selection Baku was awarded the right to host the first European Games at the 41st EOC General Assembly in Rome, on 8 December 2012. Daniele Garozzo (; born 4 August 1992) is an Italian right-handed foil fencer. Garozzo is a 2022 team European champion, two-time individual European champion, and four-time team world champion. A two-time Olympian, Garozzo is a 2021 individual Olympic silver medalist and 2016 individual Olympic champion. He is the younger brother of Italian épée fencer Enrico Garozzo. Career Garozzo won the 2008 Cadet World Championships at home in Acireale, then took a silver medal in the 2011 and 2012 Junior World Championships.
