René Cattarinussi
René Cattarinussi (born 12 April 1972) is a former Italian biathlete. He won a bronze medal in the sprint at the 1996 World Championships in Ruhpolding. The following year, at the 1997 World Championships in Brezno-Osrblie, he conquered a silver medal in the sprint event and a bronze in the relay. He also won a bronze and a silver medal in the sprint distance at the 2000 World Championships in Oslo and at the 2001 World Championships in Pokljuka. Tolmezzo (; ; archaic or ) is a town and (municipality) in the Province of Udine, Regional decentralization entity of Udine, part of the autonomous Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of north-eastern Italy. Khanty-Mansiysk (, lit. ''Khanty-Mansi Town''; Khanty: , ''Jomvoćś''; Mansi: , ''Abga'') is a city in west-central Russia. Technically, it is situated on the eastern bank of the Irtysh River, from its confluence with the Ob, in the oil-rich region of Western Siberia. The Biathlon World Cup is a top-level biathlon season-long competition series. It has been held since the winter seasons of 1977–78 for men and 1982–83 for women. The women's seasons until 1986–87 season were called the European Cup, although participation was not restricted to Europeans. Competition and format The World Cup season lasts from November or December to late March, with meetings in a different venue every week excluding some holidays and a couple of weeks before the season's major championships (World Championships or Winter Olympics). All in all, the season comprises nine to ten meetings, with events taking place from Wednesday–Thursday through Sunday. Relay competitions are held four to six times per season. Rasen-Antholz (; ) is a municipality in South Tyrol in northern Italy. Geography The municipal area stretches along the Antholz valley, a northern side valley of the larger Puster Valley. In the northeast, the Staller Saddle mountain pass, at a height of leads into the Defereggen Valley in East Tyrol, Austria. The Antholz valley is confined by the mountains of the Rieserferner Group in the north and the Villgraten Mountains in the east, both part of the High Tauern range in the Central Eastern Alps.
