Renato Caccioppoli (; 20 January 1904 – 8 May 1959) was an Italian mathematician, known for his contributions to mathematical analysis, including the theory of functions of several complex variables, functional analysis, measure theory. Life and career Born in Naples, he was the son of Giuseppe Caccioppoli (1852–1947), a surgeon, and his second wife Sofia Bakunin (1870–1956), daughter of the Russian revolutionary Mikhail Bakunin. After earning his high-school diploma in 1921, he enrolled in the Department of engineering to swap to mathematics in November 1923. Immediately after earning his laurea in 1925, he became the assistant of Mauro Picone, who in that year was called to the University of Naples, where he remained until 1932. Renato "Rene" Salud de Villa (born July 20, 1935) is a Filipino former police and military officer and government official. He served as Chief of Philippine Constabulary, Director-General of the Integrated National Police, and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Renato Curcio (; born 23 September 1941) is the former leader of the Italian far-left terrorist organization Red Brigades (''Brigate Rosse''), responsible among other facts of the kidnapping and murder of the former Italian prime minister Aldo Moro. Renato Corsetti
Renato Corsetti (29 March 1941 – 1 February 2025) was an Italian Esperantist who served as President of the Universal Esperanto Association between 2001 and 2007. Born in Rome, Corsetti supported the idea that the people of the world should be able to communicate in a neutral and easy international language. He taught psycholinguistics at the Sapienza University of Rome. He was also an associate professor at the International Academy of Sciences San Marino. Corsetti was married to Anna Löwenstein, also an Esperantist. The couple lived together in Italy from 1981, but as of 2015, they were living in the UK. Studies and Early Career Cellini's father Ezio Cellini was an operatic stage director who worked with Arturo Toscanini; his mother Traversa Usellini was a choreographer.
