Ra's al Ghul Nyssa Raatko Rag Doll Rag Doll is the name of several supervillains appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The first, Peter Merkel, is a villain of the original Flash, while the second is an enemy of Starman and the third is Merkel's son and a member of the Secret Six. The Peter Merkel incarnation of Rag Doll was created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Lou Ferstadt, and first appeared in '' Flash Comics'' #36 (December 1942). Peter Merkel Peter Merkel, a native of the Midwestern United States, is born with hyper-mobile joints, and becomes a contortionist and carnival performer. After the carnival closes, Merkel becomes a criminal and enemy of the Flash.
