Art Reichle
Arthur E. Reichle (February 23, 1914 – May 23, 2000) was the head coach of the UCLA Bruins baseball in 1941 and from 1946 to 1974. He had a career record of 747–582–12. He was inducted into the UCLA Bruins#UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame, UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame in 1998. One of the players he coached at UCLA was Jackie Robinson. He died at the age of 86 on May 23, 2000. Led by Chris Chambliss, his 1969 team won the Pacific-8 Conference Championship and played in the College World Series, first appearance for the university. He was a student-athlete at UCLA from 1934–36, playing football, rugby and baseball. He married his wife Ruth and they had three children, sons Arthur Jr. and Richard and daughter Denise Margarite. David Edward Reichle
David Edward Reichle (born October 19, 1938) is an American ecologist who worked at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). He is known for his pioneering research on the movement of radionuclides in the environment and the carbon metabolism of forest ecosystems. From 1967 to 1981 he was co-chair of Woodlands for the International Biological Programme. He served as Director of ORNL’s Environmental Sciences Division (1986-1990) and retired in 2000 as Associate Director. Biography Reichle was born on October 19, 1938 to Elsie and Edward J. Reichle in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Muskingum University with a B.S. in biology and chemistry in 1960. He attended Northwestern University on a Danforth Foundation Fellowship, where he received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biological sciences in 1961 and 1964. Dick Reichle
Richard Wendell Reichle (November 23, 1896 – June 13, 1967) was a professional baseball player who appeared in 128 games for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB) during the 1922 and 1923 seasons. Listed at and , he batted left-handed and threw right-handed. Reichle was also a college football player, and played in the National Football League (NFL) during the 1923 season. Biography Reichle was a native of Lincoln, Illinois; he first attended Lincoln College, and later the University of Illinois. His college career was interrupted by service in the United States Navy during World War I; he played for the 1918 Great Lakes Navy Bluejackets football team that won the 1919 Rose Bowl. Reichle was also a member of the 1919 Illinois Fighting Illini football team.
