Rebo Tchulo
Deborah Tshimpaka Mulanga (born 5 December 1997), known professionally as Rebo Tchulo, is a Congolese singer-songwriter and dancer. She began her music career as a gospel singer. In 2017, Tshimpaka signed a record deal with Ferré Gola's FG Production label. She rose to prominence after releasing several hit singles including "Coeur Fragile", "Ni Nani", and "Biloko". In 2020, she left FG Production and went on to release her debut single, "Mbote." Tshimpaka's subsequent single "Pepele", which premiered on 30 June 2021, amassed over one million views on YouTube within four months. In October 2022, she released "Contaminée" and followed it up with "Mukaji Internationale" in March 2023. She guest performed on Jules Ysok's single, "Mata Kuna Yo", which garnered over three million YouTube views in a month and debuted in the top 10 most popular Congolese videos on YouTube. Luba People
The Luba people or Baluba are an ethno-linguistic group indigenous to the south-central region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The majority of them live in this country, residing mainly in Katanga, Kasai and Maniema. The Baluba Tribe consist of many sub-groups or clans who speak various dialects of Luba (e.g. Kiluba, Tshiluba) and other languages, such as Swahili. All Africa Music Awards 2021
The 2021 All Africa Music Awards (also known as AFRIMA), were held on November 21, at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, Nigeria. This marked the fifth time in eight years that the venue is hosting the show. The show was hosted by South African actress Pearl Thusi, and British-Congolese comedian Eddie Kadi. The ceremony, under the theme ‘Still We Sing’, was broadcast on DSTV channel 198, GOTV 98, HIPTV, TVC, PlusTV Africa, AIT and AfroMusicPop among others. AFRIMA has taken place each year since 2014, except in 2020, owing to the coronavirus pandemic. Iba One from Mali, and Wizkid were the most awarded artists of the night with five and three awards respectively, followed by Kenya's Nikita Kering. Planète Rap is a French radio programme broadcast on Skyrock, hosted by Fred Musa.
