Re-Animator (band)
Re-Animator is a British thrash metal band, which formed in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England in 1987, broke up in 1993, and then re-formed in 2013. Early years Re-animator was formed in 1987 by Mike Abel and Kevin Ingleson. Ingleson was a rhythm guitarist who had been an admirer of Abel's style of playing. They started to write some songs together – the first two were "Follow the Masses" and "Push the Button", which were on their first and only demo tape. The demos were recorded at Animal Tracks Recording Studio in Hull in March 1988, over two days. Abel and Ingleson were looking for a bass player and a drummer, and they asked Mark Dennis to drum on a demo tape. Tony Calvert agreed to do vocals but declined to join the band full-time, as he was involved in another band at the time. John Wilson then joined on bass guitar. Re-Animator began playing gigs. ''Re-Animator'' (stylised in all caps) is the fifth studio album by British band Everything Everything. Recorded primarily at RAK Studios in London over a two-week period in December 2019 with producer John Congleton, it was released on 11 September 2020 on Infinity Industries, the band's own Imprint (trade name), imprint. The tracks "In Birdsong", "Arch Enemy", "Planets", and "Violent Sun" were released as singles throughout 2020 in support of the album. The release of the album was initially planned for 21 August 2020, but was delayed by three weeks due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Ryan Bowersock, better known by his stage name Reanimator, is an alternative hip hop producer from Wisconsin operating out of Chicago, Illinois. Career Reanimator released the solo debut album, ''Music to Slit Wrists By'', in 2004. He released ''The Ugly Truth (album), The Ugly Truth'', a collaborative album with the rapper Prolyphic, on Strange Famous Records in 2008. He has also produced tracks for the rapper Sage Francis. ''Re-Animator'' (also known as ''H. P. Lovecraft's Re-Animator'') is a 1985 American comedy horror film loosely based on the 1922 H. P. Lovecraft serial novelette " Herbert West–Reanimator". Directed by Stuart Gordon and produced by Brian Yuzna, the film stars Jeffrey Combs as Herbert West, a medical student who has invented a reagent which can re-animate deceased bodies. He and his classmate Dan Cain ( Bruce Abbott) begin to test the serum on dead human bodies, and conflict with Dr. Carl Hill ( David Gale), who is infatuated with Cain's fiancée ( Barbara Crampton) and wants to claim the invention as his own. ''Re-Animator'' is an American film series consisting of three horror films directed by Stuart Gordon and Brian Yuzna. Loosely based on the 1922 serialized short story "Herbert West–Reanimator" by H. P. Lovecraft, the films follow the exploits of Herbert West, the inventor of a serum that can Undeath, re-animate deceased bodies. West is portrayed by Jeffrey Combs in all three films. ''Permutation'' is the third studio album by Brazilian electronic music producer Amon Tobin. It was released on 1 June 1998 by Ninja Tune. Composition The songs "Like Regular Chickens" and "People Like Frank" sample dialogue from, respectively, the David Lynch films ''Eraserhead'' (1977) and '' Blue Velvet'' (1986); the latter song also samples portions of Angelo Badalamenti's score for ''Blue Velvet''.
