The Real Academia de Bellas Artes de Santa Isabel de Hungría (''Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Saint Isabel of Hungary'') is located in the Casa de los Pinelo, Casa-Palacio de los Pinelo in central Seville, Spain. It is divided into six sections: Architecture, Sculpture, Painting, Music, Archaeology, Decorative Arts and Performing and Audiovisual Arts. It was founded in 1660. Casa De Los Pinelo
The Casa de los Pinelo is a Renaissance-era building located in the centre of Seville in Spain. It houses both the Real Academia Sevillana de Buenas Letras and the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de Santa Isabel de Hungría. It is named after one of its former owners, Francisco Pinelo (d. 1509), a wealthy merchant. The house dates from the 16th century and is centered around a courtyard, per the traditional layout that has been used in the region since the Roman period. The house mixes a number of architectural styles, such as the Plateresque motifs in the plasterwork of its arches, its Mudéjar Mudéjar were Muslims who remained in Iberia in the late medieval period following the Christian reconquest. Andrés Rossi
Andres Rossi (Madrid, 1771 - Seville, 1849) was a Spanish artist. He worked as a painter, draughtsman, print maker, sculptor and writer in Madrid and Seville.''Biblioteca Nacional de España;'' http://datos.bne.es/persona/XX1508565.html Biography Jose Andres Rossi was born in Madrid. His surname appears as Rossi, Rosi, Roszi, Roso or Rosso in different texts. The fact that he signed with a double "s" suggests an Italian ancestry (though it was often subsequently changed to "Rosi" in the inscriptions of many of his prints). Rossi attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. In 1799 he placed second in the Academy's yearly competition with his drawing of Publio Furio Filo. He is described as a patriot of the "Dos de Mayo Uprising". During the Peninsular War he moved to Seville fleeing from the French. Pepi Sánchez
Pepi Sánchez was a Sevillian painter. Born in 1929, she moved to Madrid in 1958 and lived there until she died in 2012. She had a unique and imaginative style, with Oneirology, oneiric elements and a clear Baroque influence. Her work was always independent from fashions and trends, and it represents an original addition to Spanish plastic arts. Her particular use of unmodified rocks and stones, as a support for her paintings, was an important part of her legacy. The characters that usually inhabit the strange structures in her paintings adapt themselves to the grooves in the stones, resulting in a surprising combination of painting and sculpture.
