Rathnamala Prakash
Ratnamala Prakash (born 19 August 1952) is an Indian singer who sings in Kannada language. Along with playback signing, she is known for her songs in Sugama Sangeetha, a light musical genre in Kannada. Her father R. K. Srikantan was a Carnatic classical musician. In 2016, Rathnamala was awarded the Sangeet Natak Academy Award for her contribution to the field of Sugama Sangeetha. Career Apart from numerous Bhaavageethas she has sung many film songs. Ratnamala's first film song is ''Tangaaliyante baalalli bande'' a duet with Dr.Rajkumar from the super hit movie Guri. Then she sang many songs for L. Vaidyanathan, C. Ashwath, M. Ranga Rao, Vijaya bhaskar, Rajan–Nagendra, Hamsalekha and others. Rajathi, better known by her stage name Indraja, is an Indian actress who works in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil films, in addition to television shows. Early life Indraja was born as Rajathi in a Telugu Brahmin family in Chennai. She is the eldest of three sisters and comes from a Carnatic music family. During school days, she won prizes in singing and drama competitions. A trained classical singer and dancer, she learned Kuchipudi dance form Madhavapeddi Murthy. Bhavya is an Indian actress who predominately works in Kannada films apart from a few Tamil and Telugu films. She was a top heroine of Kannada cinema during 1985–1992. She switched over to key supporting roles post 2000. She is settled in Mumbai, India and travels frequently to Bangalore for her shoots. Mysore Ananthaswamy
Mysore Ananthaswamy was one of the pioneers of Kannada Bhavageethe in Karnataka. He was a very popular composer and singer of Kannada Sugama Sangeetha. He composed music for several poems and bhavageethe written by well-known Kannada poets like Kuvempu, K. S. Nissar Ahmed, N S Lakshminarayana Bhatta and others. Some of his songs includes 'Jogada Siri Belakinali', Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate, O Nanna Chetana, Tanuvu Ninnade Manavu Ninnade, Ede Tumbi Haadidenu etc.... Shankar–Ganesh is an Indian music director duo who has worked on Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu movies for around 50 years.
